It seems that the majority of wall street investment banks and big law firms have tall, white, protestant males has ceo’s or law firm partners. Now, it is true that at law firms and wall street companies, there are many asians who are associates or can rise up to a certain degree but it seems that it is almost impossible for an asian or a minority to become the ceo or vice president of such companies.

I am interested in law school once I finish college, but I want to practice some kind of law where I would get to use languages. I am working on my French fluency and am also studying Chinese. What is the best field? I am not particularly interested in Public International Law, but am interested in International Business Law. I am not interested in living abroad or travelling every week of the year, but more of something where I would travel once in a while to other countries to negotiate deals,etc. Do most firms have lawyers who specialize in dealings abroad, and would they actually use languages?

that I am serious about declaring bankruptcy, without actually filing? My attorney and I have tried to negotiate with them time and again, but they refuse to accept a smaller payment. (I realize that I accidentally broke a lease, and I probably owe them $750 plus a little interest, but they are demanding almost $4500, and are being very hard-nosed about it!) I offered them $1500 to settle, or I’d declare bankruptcy on them. They flat-out rejected it.
I believe very strongly in paying my legitimate bills, conscientiously, but not to lying, thieving scoundrels.
Any ideas and suggestions will be very welcome.
I was told (verbally) when I left the apartment that everything was fine, and paid for. I didn’t hear from them until 2 years later, with a collection notice. (The verbal ok wasn’t worth the paper it was written on.)

i live in philly, & there is this towing company lew blom (crooks on wheels) they tow cars illegally. they moved my car 10 blocks away from my house, reported it 2 the cops as towed, but left it there. it took the cops over 5 hours 2 locate my car. i was a hot mess by the time they found it. i was planning 2 get online 2 let you all know how people in my city are being ripped off.
on friday i was at work running up and down the stairs one too many difficult clients at our law firm.
well, i’m running up the stairs, i tripped over my skirt go for the guard rail and watched as my thumb touched my wrist.
i got up, brushed off, told the clients i was ok, and walked to my office with a smile on my face. by the time i got there my thumb was three times the size. must i tell you it’s broken?
have you had to play an accident off, in order to not upset others?
oh, on top of it, my boss says, i know it hurts, but can you sit in on the meeting? which was 2 start in 15 minutes.
